While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

First letter has finally arrived and along with it the return of the Food Questionnaire .... way too funny.
How I feel today
a) SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED XXXXX
b) Jacked!! I’m a beast
c) Homesick
d) Not too bad..graduation here I come! XXX

You have NO idea at RTC, you get sick period!
I eat
a) Once a day
b) Twice a day
c) Three times a day xxx

MINUTES X Being the 3rd tallest in the division means that I enter
and leave the galley last.
The food is
a) Mushy
b) All the same color
c) Delicious and I’ll miss it
d) NOT AS GOOD AS MOM’S XXX The food is decent, not great, but edible and nourishing. The peanut butter rice crispies though…. yum … sooooo good!

a. Breakfast when our RDC’s let us have sugared cereal

e. Beef stroganoff from home … Whoops, that was a trick question and will be thrown out … pick from a-d. XXXX Too True. They banned dessert today but not cereal, as far as I know.
How many colors is the food?
a. If you count the floor sweepings, about 4.

What is your favorite food at Boot Camp? Chocolate peanut butter rice crispy treats, PRIME RIB!!!! We got it on Thanksgiving.
What is your least favorite food at Boot Camp? The Club Spinach – salty, foul, horrible texture.
Do you have choices or do you have to eat what they give you? You get 2 or 3 main dish choices and 2 or 3
side dish choices. Then go by the salad
bar which has a bunch of stuff.
Do you get to drink sodas or just milk, water and juice? Sugar free sodas, milk, water, juice, tea, hot chocolate, coffee and flavored water.
Are you getting enough to eat?
Probably too much, actually. I’m
gonna diet.
What do you think about having to go to the bathroom in front of all those other
guys? Doesn’t bother me
except we only get 10 minutes to shower 40 guys using 12 shower heads.
Are you sleeping okay? I sleep GREAT! … for about 5 hours / night
Did you have your dental check? Yes, Have cleaning tomorrow.
Did you have any cavities? NO How many______
Aren’t you glad that you already had your wisdom teeth removed? Kinda but not completely. People that did got SIQ (stay in you rack) for 2 days and LLD (light limited duty) for 1 day)
How many shots did you get? 3
Tell me about the peanut butter one? Didn’t hurt until they stuck the needle in !!
For how long could you still feel it? 1 day, it wasn’t that bad, just a bit sore.
Do you need more stamps? No, but paper would be nice.
Do you need another phone card? __X__ Yes, I plan on making lots of calls
home. __x__ No need as I don’t think
I’ll EVER get to phone nome as long as I’m here. Not sure … The minutes get spent really fast,
hope they last through our “mythical” 1 hour call.

Got another letter today! I race to the mailbox each day in hopes that I will see something from her!
i got a letter today! he said some of the kids are really messing up here so they held the letters for 3 days, they were supposed to get the 2nd phone call on the 16th but it got revoked. its possible they could earn it back. When he wrote this on the 16th so the 17th was Day 3-1. So christmas eve would be 4-1! 6 kids failed the first test =( There are three stages of boot camp. They are done with the first and started with the 2nd stage on the 13th.
