joans:  I think you will enjoy the Residence.  Don't forget the free hot buffet breakfast in the lobby and to sign up when you check in for your PIR shuttle time (if you aren't taking a car).  We were on the 6:30 shuttle...perfect timing!  Plenty of seating to choose from!

Flight, hotel, car- done!  Now we need the 37 days to be 1!  Such a short trip- arrive Thursday and leave Saturday after our son leaves for California.  We’ll soak up every minute!

Congratulations to the divisions that received phone calls!!!!!

Diannep I changed my reservations to the residence inn when I found out my son would be staying with us the entire weekend. I got the room (2 bedroom suite) for $556.00 for 4 nights.

Kathy:  Jessica has posted a discussion above called "What to Wear/Bring to PIR."  Has good info in it.

where is the list for what to bring for your sailor to PIR?  Also, I know my son will be heading to CONN for A school, and someone mentioned getting his sheets, comforter, etc. I'd love to purchase that all for him, but then he has to lug it through the airports and pack it.

My son is married...how long after bootcamp can his wife get the paperwork together to join him?

AlisahNicole:  Can you post your PIR division numbers at the top of this page? They are:

53-58, 910

Makes it easier to check division numbers when it is time to figure out BattleStations dates. Thanks!

bls23ship:  Was the Residence Inn Waukegan included in that 50 percent off online promotion that you received for various area hotels?
