I GOT 2 LETTERS!! I GOT 2 LETTERS!! She's doing great!!!! Praise the Lord! She got promoted to AROC said she passed her PFA test with ease and made the Alpha Female group!! She also passed DEP test! She said BC isnt as bad as everyone thinks and said that BC is surprisingly going by fast! Food is good she said.
OH!! I almost forgot!! She's singing in the gospel choir at church!! Yay! She's made great friends and her RDC's call her "Seaman Recruit Laughs a lot", because sometimes she giggles!
So happy for everyone that got letters...today wasn't my day ..but hopeful for tomorrow!!!
MrsBone- Grad and Go and staying in Great Lakes is a very good thing. He will most likely get to spend the whole weekend with you, nights too. :-)
Yea, mail today, good news from our SR in division 910, he sounds very up beat. He says, “boot camp is easy as long as you do exactly what you are told and you don’t stick out. Well it’s been easy so far.” (His letter was dated Dec. 12) “Passed my PFA, Swim, and DEP tests without a hitch”
I got a call from my SR yesterday!! Was great hearing from him. He said the Peanut Butter shot was awful. He said BC was pretty easy. His Dad got a letter yesterday, my SR said he sent 2 letters, haven't received them yet. He also said he will not be able to call again until 1/21. Battle Stations perhaps? He told me he is in G&G Division and will be moving across the street right to A school, GL after PIR. They got their dress blues and khakis too! The only thing I know for sure, is my SR is safe, that I miss him, that I am proud of him, and that I love him and I guess that is going to have to be enough til 1/28
I am sure that my son knows your daughter as well. I don't know her name but he tends to relate better to females than the males. He has always had a lot of friends that were girls and only 2 that I can think of that are guys. I believe that you should be getting a letter very soon. What is the AROC? lol still learning navy lingo :).
I got 2 letters today which was very special. One was to the family and one was to me to wish me Happy Birthday. My birthday was 2 days after he left for bootcamp. My letters were dated Dec. 5, 2011 and they were postmarked the 14th of Dec. Again he says he is doing fine says he has been sick twice and his feet got really swollen from the cold, prolonged standing and new boots. He says it is not bad and that he is learning quite a bit. My day has been made this week and I am so thankful and blessed. I hope the rest of you moms here from your loved ones soon.
Joansj, no call so far. I'm praying for a letter! Luckily, ACTmom's SR knows my daughter! He told his mom that he talks to my daughter every day! She was picked as the AROC of the division! He also said she was on duty and couldnt call. I'm so thankful to have some info on her at least! Thank you for your prayers!
Alisha did you ever get a phone call from your daughter? If not I am praying that you get a letter today.
