For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Ship 02/Div 910 AggieNavyWife on December 9, 2010 at 10:41pm: Hi Everyone! My husband is in ship 02 div 910 (like a couple of your SRs). I just made flight and hotel arrangements and am SO excited! AND, whoever made the clock I LOVE YOU!!! Every day I get on just to see the clock!

Here's what I know about the mail. Mail does not get delivered to the SRs until mid week 2 early week 3 (per RTC). Everyone is getting settled and some move around, so they have to get the "sorting system" all figured out. Then the SRs will have a big 'ole pile of mail to read :-)

I haven't gotten a letter in a while, so I'm PRAYING that one comes soon. I read and re-read the two I do have. My husband says he's a "flag carrier" and mentioned something about performing at the PIRs before ours.

I'm SO proud of you ladies and so glad to see so many Christian women here! We CAN do this!!! Keep the faith!!!

Comment by JDMK-NavyMom on December 9, 2010 at 9:21pm: Got a letter today, it was dated 12/5, said he still has not gotten mail for home. Does RTC hold their mail for a period of time? I have mailed four letters and I know others have also mailed letters. My SR also said that he will be caring a flag at PIRs. I've missed some posts about the Christmas cards for the divisions. How does this work? If my son is not getting mail I don't know if I will be able to get the # of recruits in the division much less the names. Will the recruit that receives the large package with all the cards get in trouble (extra PT)?
