Congratulations to you Tricia on receiving your letter. Also congratulations to your husband for such an accomplishment. Top 10 good for him. Can't wait to hear what is going on with my son. I am tired of all of these racing thoughts, some good, some bad. I know that no news is good news and I haven't heard anything. It is so cold so I am wondering is warm enough because I know how he couldn't stand the cold, had an electric blanket on his bed. I just need to hear something.

I think it would be great if anybody that needs transportation lets everybody know because there are many that will be getting rental cars and most can always squeeze a few more in, right?

Hi everyone! Tricia - so glad you heard from your hubby and thanks for the cammie info. My daughter was so looking forward to those! She told me she had lost 6#'s when they first weighed her. Wonder how thin she'll be at PIR? I try to keep myself very busy so I'm not thinking about her all the time. Work, volunteer work, church, cleaning closets.......our house should be SPOTLESS by Jan 28th. lol.
Thanks for the links Jessica - always appreciate the info.
Keep the faith ladies :-)

What is everyone putting in their cards? Are you putting your names? I'm kinda worried, I don't want my sailor to get in trouble for this....It all depends on the RDC....
Comment by Lynne on December 9, 2010 at 5:15pm
They can eat whatever will fit on their tray and whatever they can consume in those 12 minutes...but I think as their bodies change and they become so hydrated they simply require less...they just eat healthier...

Penny great questions about the Christmas cards...I would make sure they are in the mail by no later than the 16th. If you don't have names by then, simply send them generically. Send them in a manilla envelope to your recruit...and ask them to pass them out on Christmas day. You could write a message on your computer...print out 88 of them because this is the about the max number of recruits per division and then glue it in the card with your name and address. Maybe some will write back to you. Let them know that there are moms and family members who would love to write to them and encourage them through boot camp. Unfortunately too many recruits get no mail...very sad I know.

Message me about the RDC issue.
