Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Thought it would be great to learn where everybody's sailor is heading to after PIR.  This can be a great way to open new conversations at the M&G and also make new friends that will be going…Continue

I do know DIV 910 has gotten there Cammie's! My husband seemed excited about that, (it was the 1st thing he told me...lol) And they should be getting their collar pins also. There division will be performing at the 2 PIR's before there own and at there own! Also on a side note (I have to brag on my Sailor a little :D) He is in the top 10 in his division! I am soooo PROUD of him!

Penny what was your Son's ship date? I think that might be a factor. And when did you get your kid in a box?
Comment by Penny_Nuke_MM2_NimitzNuke on December 9, 2010 at 2:00pm
Tricia, most of us women, especially those in Ship 11 haven't gotten anything besides the kid in the box and the form letter. Still waiting on our first letter.

We're in the same "boat" Tricia. Thankful for other Christan women here and feeling better knowing that you are praying for my son as I am praying for yours.

I'm also a firm believer that GOD sends those letters at the right time of the week!

KLP - while for me it is my son and not my husband, I surely can relate. Actually right now I don't even dare think about it so I don't get teary-eyed AGAIN but I am sure every single mom and wife and girlfriend here can relate. So, if you are crazy then I guess you have GREAT company; welcome to the crowd.

Cindy ... I'm praying for every person here waiting for letters that at least one person will get one so we can all rejoice in knowing that the boy's letters are starting. Please God, we really just want someone that we can congratulate and give us hope!

About these Christmas cards - would whoever started this idea come back and tell us one more time how to do this and what is the ideal way to do this. I am willing to do it but also know that it is going to take a couple weeks for our letters to get to our boys and back again...could be cutting it close. Writing to my son today to ask for names.
