Penny, I was at the doctor's today, ear infection, and I was talking to her and she asked me how was my Thanksgiving. I started crying right there because my son left Thanksgiving week. She offered to start me on an antidepressant, I declined. I thought I was getting better, but I guess there is no getting over worrying & missing your child.

Lynne, what a wonderful idea of passing out Christmas cards, how do we find out how many members are in each division?

Dear bls23, Jill, Penny and all. You are not alone! Some of the smallest things can set off the well of emotions. When I came home this afternoon, I could have sworn I smelled my daughter's perfume downstairs! Wow, almost went into her bedroom to double check if she was home..
No mail from ship2 div910 today....maybe tomorrow :-)
Blessings to all of you!

... as I sit here reading your notes with tears streaming down my fact. I had just written to my son's growth group from church to share his address and just thinking about that had me in tears then I come here and see that others are doing the same. We're in it together, ladies!

You are not alone bls23, it’s the same for me. Just when I think I'm getting use to my son’s absence, something will cause the emotion to well up again.

I know this may sound silly but this morning as i was coming up the basement stairs i looked up and noticed a pin that i had put on my winter coat last year. it was of my daughter holding the basketball in her basketball uniform. I broke down and cried my eyes out. I feel like i am doing ok then something like this happens and i feel like i can't control my feelings. I miss her less than i did a week ago but she was a sweetheart before she left she put together cards for me to open whenever i felt sad, bored, needed a Jys fix, to smile etc. She really has made it easier for me to have those around. I hope that everyone out there is doing ok and I pray for all of the friends, families and our recruits.
