Congratulations again to ALL of our SAILORS!!!! What a roller coaster ride this experience has been. I know that it is not officially over for babygurl & Hawkeye but just know that you do have Sailors even though you have not heard from them yet. We started this journey together and we will end it together!! We are here for you until you both get those calls just let us know when.

I want to let all the moms & dads know that you have been my rock, my foundation and although I don't know you personally I feel as though you are a beloved part of my extended family. Thank you all for your support & condolences.

Our children & spouses have formed bonds with each other and so have we. Our children & spouses are SAILORS and we are NAVY PARENTS & SPOUSES.

HOOYAH TO MY NAVY FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!

Babygirl - any chance he's used up his calling card? Does he have minutes left?
Comment by joyceann on January 25, 2011 at 10:12pm

Okay, just got back home from getting my oldest son's girlfriend and a supper with a HUGE margarita!!  I deserved it!  Sorry that I abandoned everyone, but I blame it on everyone else for talking about steak and crablegs!!!

Denise--bring on the "Hot Damn"!!!  :)  EVERYONE ELSE--looking forward to the biggest toast to the best Sailors that Illinois has ever seen!

Hawkeye mom and babygirl, I told my son this throughout bootcamp in my letters, "when you look down, I am holding your hand to give you strength."  We are all now holding your hands and waiting for news with you.  We are here for you.

OK...my clue to chime in. If your sailor gets watch, they do not get to call. I hope those calls come soon for Baby Girl and Hawkeye. Not sure I am crazy about 55's RDC's...Just Saying.

Hey, that's right submarinemom ... they did say that EVERYBODY in 055 passed.  I am sure he got caught up in the long lines at the phones and then had to do two hours of a watch.  Does he still have phone minutes on his calling card or will he have to go to the NEX to buy another one?
