Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This has been an exhilirating and exhausting day...for our SAILORS and for us.  I think I'm done.  Next big adventure is M&G on Thursday night...can't wait to see you all there.  Drinks are on SANDY...LOL!  Congrats to all!

momof5:  thanks for posting that 55 went with 56 on Sunday night.  I was thinking that we were seeing brother divisions going separate...which would have been the first time that has happened in almost a year.  So sorry they couldn't call yesterday....hoping that all of you with recruits in 55 get some well deserved rest tonight!  Congrats to all!

Well folks it sounds like, for the most part, we all came out of it with Sailors.   Seems there were a few casualties along the way but most have the opportunity yet to complete.  I will continue praying for those that are still fighting to complete Battlestations...you can do it.

Mine has watch from 1800 - 2000 THEN he can go to sleep.  Denise, sorry about yours, he's gotta be dead and then have to stay up two hours past everybody else, that's just WRONG.

That's entirely possible!  My SAILOR (love saying/typing that now) said, as tire as he was, had watch tonight from 8 to 10 (actually he said from 20:00 to 22:00).

I’m crying again just reading all the news!  So proud of our SAILORS!  Congratulations to everyone and praying for those still waiting!  We have much to celebrate!  Hooyah!
