Well, my son has been out to sea for 1 week as of tomorrow.  I haven't heard anything from him yet.  He called me right before hey left, but of course, I was at work, and missed his call(very upset about that).  In his message, he said that he didn't have his email account set up yet, but I would get an email as soon as he did.  I wonder how long that takes to get done.  The George Washington is posting pics on their facebook account almost daily, so I'm hoping to see a pic of him! I heard that if you post messages on that page, too, that they will see them.  Not sure if that's true, but we've been posting messages periodically to him.  My younger son and I were watching youtube videos of their last tour, and all that I can say is that I would get lost a hundred times a day on that ship!  LOL!

Japan, huh?  My step-son was in Yokusoka (or however it is spelled) Japan for a little over three years on USS Cowpens (a destroyer I believe).  Actually he loved it...all except for the cleaning part.  What rating is he, Hawkeye Mom.

KLP - glad to hear your hubby is safe and sound.  Hard to imagine so many from my son's training group is already out in the fleet.  My son still has 1 1/2 more years of schooling!

Been a while.  Son is not enjoying the lecture part of his STRAND class but the lab he enjoys,  He's just about finished getting the car he bought working so he can drive from Pensacola home to Oregon before going to his first station...

Hopefully will be able to see hom next month!
