Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I know how the waiting feels! I got my call Friday at about 1:00 pm (central time). I kept checking my phone just to make sure the volume was up! Looking forward to seeing all the great posts from those of you waiting calls!

Not to scare you, but I have been told they might go over tourture tequniques. But I have never heard of anyone coming out with missing teeth. Broken bones yes, and it is very very physical. Basically its one step below seal training. They will have to eat bugs and such as well from what I am told.

Thanks for all the answers but one more can they physically harm them? This is something I have heard and its hard for me to believe they could do that like come out missing teeth and stuff, I will make sure not to tell my Sailor if they can.

jleene,...SERE training. My son (AE hopefully) might have to do this...to become aircrew. An retired E9 I work with said ..survival training... much harder than boot camp...definitely for those that are adventurous.

im going crazy over here waiting on the calls to start lol. im heading off to the only class i have today soon and i hope i dont miss it! i changed my voicemail and everything telling him to leave me a lonnng message if i miss it
