My daughter is in bootcamp been there for 5 weeks now. Anyone else got a daughter in the Great lakes right now? Tiffany has met a girl there that is helping her with phyical fitness and studying with her dont know her name but would be cool to meet her mother on here. And any advise you got for a mother missing her daughter would help also.

I didnt get a letter yesterday hoping for today and by the way my name is Stephanie and were from Texas Canton Tx that is where are you from? We are driving to Great Lakes in Nov how about you?

I'm from New Jersey and my husband is insisting that we drive. I did get a letter yesterday and she asked if I could bring her BF with us to PIR. I just feel terrible but I said no. She had only been dating him for a few months before her leave and I am just not that comfortable with doing that so I wrote her last night and told her how I felt. Now I'm feeling worried that she'll be upset. I sure hope I did the right thing....

I understand where your coming from Tiffany and her BF have been dating for 5 months before she left I was worried they would get married before she left but thank God she didnt. He is coming to PIR with us if he comes up with the money to pay his part of the trip. No free rides! LOL But he will be in bootcamp Feb.11,2104 So dont know how that will work for them too. Im sure your daughter might be mad at first but she will get over it soon as she sees your beautiful face :) Im glad you got to hear from her oh how I wish I could hear something.

My daughter's PIR is July 11th!  Can't wait.  Any help with booking travel arrangements is appreciated.  We are coming from MA!

Hi Jody!!! My daughter is in Great Lakes! She graduates April 24th. She is on Ship 12 DIV 160. Yours??
It has been difficult. She is our youngest out of 7 (he had 2, I had 2 when we got married, then we had 3 together). Kayla is our youngest twin too. Her sister really misses her--they are best friends.
I was a stay-at-home for 7 1/2 years.
I didn't realize this discussion was from 2013...
