Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Oh my! Both my daughters are going to be in the Navy!
Hi Guys,
For some time, we have been preparing for my precious Melissa to join the Navy. We have had our ups and down...hurry up and wait kind of thing. We are waiting for a waiver to come through for her. While we are in our holding pattern. My oldest precious daughter, Elizabeth, has decided to look into it. She not only is looking into it...She is at MEPS today!
I am just mom trying to wrap my brain around it! haha...Its good, but so sudden! Please keep them both in your prayers.

Congratulations - my middle daughter is in the Navy (2 years this August) and my oldest daughter is trying to get back into the Air Force after being out for a few years, she heads to MEPS this coming Monday for her physical and hopefully her intent to join oath. I'm proud to have both of them serving for our country. My son, their younger brother has some big shoes to follow. I wonder if and which branch he'll join - my husband was Army so we'll see! Got a couple more years of high school before he makes his decision.

Thanks to both of you! Yes, I am so excited for them! I think what has me most confused...the one that is so excited and has been planning and researching this for years now has to wait. And the one that just two weeks ago stated that it was interesting, but maybe not for her...its moving so fast!! Life is so funny. Like they say...you want to make God laugh...make a plan!

Prayers are being offered for both your daughters. I have a son and daughter serving and my other daughter just got accepted in the Navy's BDCP program to become a flight officer!! My two girls are twins and didn't think the older one would follow her "younger" sister in.
I understand how you feel - oh so proud, but WOW - really??!!!!!
Now, there is another group you should look into - Moms with more than one!!!

Thank you!!! Yes, that is exactly how I am feeling! My firstborn just kinda surprised me...and then it happened so fast. Yesterday she swore into DEP and will leave for basic on 8/2. She picked out her job and she is just so excited. It is kind of hard on my other daughter, because she has been service-bound for years and now has to wait on a waiver. She is happy for her sis, but she feels she should already be in there! My heart goes out to her.

Hi there. Our daughter Mackenzie has been in the DEP program since June 2009, graduated high school June 2010 and left for GL on 7/12. Her twin sister Mariah was all accepted and prepared for college. She has decided to join the Marines and goes to MEPS on Friday! Oh my, oh my, oh my!

That's great they will make it to the service. My daugther Avia just did the MEPS last Thursday and she pass the test, Now we are just waiting for her to be 18 so her dad or me don't need to sign anything. This coming Thursday she will be 18; Oct 13th and she sure was excited about it. I am too but not the father. Just hang in there and everything will be alright. One of my girlfriend her son been in the Navy for 5 years now he is happy about so as the whole family. Well keep them in prayers.

Thisis great to hear, I wish all my girls will go to the Navy so far one will go and is looking forward to it. I grew up in a Military family and sure loves them.
