For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Yes, there are two separate oaths taken if your daughter is going into the delayed entry program. Parents can go to both, especially the second one, which is just before they leave for boot camp. The first one secures her spot, should secure her a spot in the A school she picked, and gives her a ship out date. All of this is dependent on her passing her physical test and the availability of the rating she is interested in. In the DEP program she will have regular meetings with her recruiter, have physical fitness events, and help her start preparing for boot camp. When it's time for her ship date, she will have another appointment at MEPS, one last physical check just to make sure nothing changed since her first swearing in, sign her final and binding contract, take her official oath of enlistment, receive her orders, and then head off with several others to Great Lakes. Depending on factors such as where her MEPS is, where the airport is, and when her flight is, you can meet up with her at the airport and get a gate pass to wait with her until her plane boards.

Yes she's telling the truth I didn't go to my daughters first swear in I went to the second one u get to see it and her before she leaves to boot camp which is the same day very emotional day

I wasn't allowed to go to her physical and first swearing in. That was when she signed her contract. I did go to the official swear in before she left for boot camp. Lots of parents, spouses and a couple of children were there. It was very nice.
