For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Son in SEPS
My son is being separated because of a medical condition discovered by a abnormal chest xray and then a ct scan. I need the ct scan to bring to his primary care doctor. Will he be able to get the disc of the ct scan? He left for boot camp on 2/15/12 and his PIR was 4/13/12. Hoping he gets home soon so his doctor can take care of him.

He is out of bootcamp? Than he needs to get ahold of where the CT Scan was taken and see what they require for him to get a copy of it. Odds are it was taken at the VA near the base (not ont he base and not part of RTC) and ask them what they need. He will have to sign paper work and than wait for it to be mailed, or have the doc try and get it for him.
