OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Good Morning, I had fun at the election party last night but Measure "N" is too close to call, so we have to wait until July 6th for the official results. Bummer. Well, a least I got to practice taking pics w/ my new phone. Also talked to a Marines' Mom, she is gonna start a Blue Star Moms chapter here so I told her call me.

Thanks, Kaynorth and Susan. Does life ever really "settle down"? Things are changing, I'm learning to "roll with the punches". And trust God that everything will work out ok.

What a wonderful picture Vicky. Sorry, I don't get here - at all. I had hoped that I would but the current reality is not. I'll rejoin when things settle down. Thanks for thinking of me. ~~Susan~~

Hi Scuttlebutts, Happy Memorial Day. I don't watch many military movies, they make me sad. I am going to the Memorial Day service at Veteran's Park here in Sutter Creek. My father's name is on the wall.
