Hi Everyone! My sailors rating is GSE and he will be attending A School at Great Lakes. His PIR is September 1st. This is my second Sailor. My first had his PIR January 6th and his A School was in Pensacola and now he's stationed at Naval Station Norfolk. I'm still adjusting to Navy Flexible as my children are the first in my immediate family to ever serve. I was however an Army Wife for about 3 years. But we were stationed in our home state. Looking forward to learning more about GSE and getting to know the other moms! Hooyah!

Hello All, My son is in Basic Training at GL and going to A school for GSM

Yes, it's monsoon season for us too. We have flash flood warnings today which is typical for us when it rains. I'm looking forward to it being over too! Pretty sure GL is hot and muggy. My sailor was there about this time a couple years ago and there were intense thunder/lightening storms. You could check weather.com for full forecasts.

The heat is hot muggy, monsoon season. the rains just make a mess doesn't cool down none. cant wait for it to be over. would you know how the weather is in Great Lakes. I have been seeing the flooding, horrible is the weather always like that over there?

Your welcome Phoenixmom - it wasn't much but I google rates, terminology, etc whenever I get lost in the lingo! How are you handling the heat? I'm in Las Vegas so we're not that much different temp-wise.
