FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

CruAn- She went to Norfolk for C school. She was there about 6 weeks?? I think. Not too long. A school was about 4 weeks. But remember some do not class up right away. Depends on how many AD's they have. She waited only a week, though.

my son's PIR is 2/1/12 also, he's in ship 13, div 084, and he is heading to P'cola for AD also. said he's leaving on 2/2/12, and that A school will be 4 weeks long. any body have any other info?  just 5 more days! can hardly wait to see him again!!

My daughter had leave between schools. She worked at the recruiters office and was home for about 2 weeks. She had to pay extra for the rerouting of her trip.

My son is in Pensacola for A school. Do they typically get leave between A and C school?

So far I know of my own daughter and one other daughter who will be going to BC Feb 6 and attend A School in Pcola for AD after - any others? :)

I also have a son graduating 2/1 and he also will head to Pensacola. Only a few more days, can't wait!

Jodenne, My son is also graduating 2/1/13. He is in ship 12 div 085, but his friend he signed up for boot camp with left a few days before him and with your son in div 078. Are you going to sarges M&G?

CindyD - my son's PIR is also 2/1/13 - what ship/div is yours in - mine is in Ship 14 DIV 78
