Valterie- I know you are looking forward to his visit home. Glad he is back safe.

My daughter's squadron is in for at least a year. We will be planning a trip next spring.

Haven't heard from her since she arrived there. Hope she's getting a routine in order. She said she has more training?? Glad to hear. I wonder how many females are in these squadrons? So many questions.

Update!! She is in San Diego!! Finished C school on 8/3. She bought a car while in Norfolk and travelled cross country to her duty station. We did meet her in Jacksonville and spent the day together. She travelled with another sailor. Shared expenses, etc. They visited family and friends while on their way. Went to the Chargers/Packers game on the day they arrived. What a way to start their new adventure. Can't wait to hear from her. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Loriemae, My son just graduated from A school in Pensacola and is an AD.  He probably will have indoc for the first week, then start his schooling the next week.  Of course, with the Navy, things can always change, but that is how it went with my son.  If you get to talk with him, just tell him to be patient:)  Hope this helps! Congrats on finishing bootcamp to your sailor!

Hello, new to this forum.    My sailor just graduated bootcamp last Friday and arrived at Pensacola on Sunday.  He is going through Indoc this week and will be on hold waiting to class up for A school.  He hasn't received any info yet as to how long the hold is.  He is an AD.  Anyone out there have any info on this?  Thanks

How is everyone doing?

Do we have any new AD members?

Had a great visit with our daughter and now she is in Norfolk for C School. She commented to me about taking a taxi from the airport to base and I suggested a call to USO. I called and they suggested that there might be a duty driver and all she needed to do was call her contact. She did and saved her taxi money and having to carry those heavy bags.

Just returned from Pensacola visiting my awesome AD - what a great experience.  The hotel on base was very nice and inexpensive!  Just wish our time could have been longer.  I am excited to be able to see him again in 5 weeks.  After that comes the longgggg time between visits that I am not looking forward to.  Grateful for whatever time I get.
