I think you mean E2?  My son is at Mugu and he works on E2's as well

Family dinner time, how lovely. My son will work 5 days out of the recruiter's office during his leave time which is awesome. He's here after BC and A school, then off to C school in Norfolk, and then to California for 2 years. He's working on P2 Hawkeyes and another one that's on the aircraft carrier. It's going to be 9 months on land and 9 months at sea with long periods of black out conditions. I see tremendous growth in my son in such a short period of time. Go Navy!

RAP -- Recruiting Assistance Leave Program

http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/rap-duty

Yes, many of the sailors choose to do that. My son didn't and he didn't want to go into debt as far as leave (very frugal with money and time), so he was home for a shorter time.

Valtameri- Had a little Facetime with her this afternoon. More talkative today. She may have been a little on the tired side yesterday. She is hoping for 2 weeks of leave after A school but like you said she'll know when they tell her. I guess one week is RAP or is it WRAP something about working out of the recruiters office?? But that is not counted against her. She has setttled into a routine, has duty this weekend and is planning a girls getaway once they phase up to 3. Kayaking and beach time. Taking advantage of what is offered during free time but working hard in school.

Thanks Valtameri! She gives me the "I don't know" each time I ask a question. And maybe she doesn't. If she comes home that would be wonderful but if she can't, I understand because this is the choice she made. Sure do miss her but am greatful I can talk to her. It was tough during bc but we got through it. My husband says this is so different from when he was in. His family moved on with their lives. I am a supportive parent. She is an adult but I'm still the mom. lol

VALTAMERI - I think I confused DEP.  Thanks for explaining that to me.  I don't understand all this Navy lingo.  Yes, he waited several months between signing up and going to BC.  (That must be the DEP portion.)  LOL!!  He did sign up for 8 years as a reservist, but as soon as he completes his bachelor's degree, he wants to go into active duty.  (I thought THAT was the DEP portion.)  LOL!  I guess that's just his preference and not part of this DEP program.  Totally confusiing stuff!  Happy Sunday, Everyone!

This is new for me. My daughter started a school last week. She graduated bc on 4/13. She was in indoc and the next week she classed up. Went to see her last week and took some personal items that she asked for. I am looking to find out what happens from here. When does she get to come home or if??
