Hello to all the new AD moms. Looks like they are classing up and moving out of A school really quickly in Pensacola. My son is with his squadron VP-1 Screaming Eagles in Japan right now but he will be back at Whidbey some time this month. He couldn't be happier in his rate - he loves being an AD.
Valtameri - My son is leaving on Monday to head for VA to work on the F/A-18E Super Hornets. He's pretty pumped about it. He described them as "like Blue Angels, less stickers, more bombs"!! LOL He was in Pensacola for 2 1/2 months
He's AD. Machinist's Mate. And his friends posted a cool picture of a bunch of them in front of a huge flag. Very cool.
what is he going to school for? My son works on the E2 Hawkeyes
Plans changed, as usual, my son is coming home for 2 weeks after all, yay, and then headed to VA for C school, then to Point Mugu. I was hoping he would head to C school.
Point Mugu is on the coast along the Pacific Coast Highway about 20 miles north of Malibu
Point Mugu is nice, my son has been stationed there since 12/09
My son is headed to Point Mugu outside of LA for 2 years after graduating A school May 3. He's preparing us because he may not be getting home for leave after school. We'll see.....And I'm off that day, Pcola is 5 1/2 hours away, so I may be headed for a visit, lol.
My daughter got to Pensacola on 4/15 and finished indoc on Friday. She messaged me earlier today and she classed up. Starts tomorrow. Wow!
My son arrived in Pcola Sunday and although his orders were 1 week wait and finihsing school the 15th of May, his first call today was....Mom, don't count on that leave for May 15th, looks like I will be here longer.....I had to laugh! I guess we will learn to roll with it and maybe if he is there long enough we can plan a trip to visit late summer!
