Haha. Not really. As far as I know he comes home after a school then goes to his first duty station. I am currently overwhelmed. Moving freaks me out only bc I don't know where we are going. Hard to plan anything. Don't know details about how to set up movers etc. Any advice?

We've been quiet. Any new members? And how are you Proudwife? Did you find out what you wanted to know?

C school -- What do you want to know about it, Proudwife?

Thanks so much!! I am such a planner so this is kinda hard for me. I want to start looking for a position in my company and a place to live. I want to know so bad!

My son recalls several phases: 1) going off base with a buddy in uniform back by 10:30 pm any night, 2) going off base with a buddy in civilian clothes back by 10:30 on week nights and midnight on weekends, and 3) staying out the weekend in civilian clothes. He wasn't there long enough to get to phase 3. His particular instructor didn't share their orders with them until they were done and had taken the final exam. Another instructor might tell his group earlier. Be glad that at least you can communicate with him, unlike boot camp.

Orders come at the end of school -- can't remember exactly, but maybe 1-2 weeks beforehand. I will ask my son as soon as I can.

From son's group, there seemed to be three general possibilities after A school -- 1) go directly to a duty station; 2) go to C school and then the duty station; or if you are like my son, 3) go to where you will eventually have C school, but get a couple months of temporary duty before C school starts and THEN go to the permanent duty station.

Ok thank you. I am just very anxious to get orders and find out where we are going. How long into school before orders come?
