Jennifer-congratulations altho Oct. seems so far off when we are dealing with summer temps.  My son went to MS. also after boot camp just about 3 yrs. ago and is now on his way back there from WA. for C school.

My son enjoyed Keeslor also and really likes the area.  I am on FB much more than this site.  I only check it about once every couple of weeks and then usually just the MN moms page. I am on a Navy for Moms facebook page that I think is closed.  I will give them your name and they will add you, if you don't wan't to join, you don't have to.  Maybe you are on it already.....   I do know that there are a couple of AG moms on there.

Kelli, that's so true! Everytime I think I have a date or a time for something, it changes! I just talked with my son and he said that he has INDOC for the next three days and then starts classes next Monday. I think Kristine said her son starts classes Monday so I guess that makes them different classes. Hard to keep it all straight! My son looks great and says he is really having a good time. That makes me feel so much better! I'm thinking about starting a FB group. This site is great and has been so helpful but I'm on FB all the time so it's convenient to connect that way as well!

Great picture, it's nice to see them having fun too!  I thought there was a FB page that I joined but it had been a couple years since anyone had posted on it so I'm wondering if it was taken off.  Or, the more likely scenario, I just can't find it!  That is great that your sons have met.  That is they way it happened with Nathan and his current roommate as well.  They weren't in the same class but just a couple of weeks apart.  They obviously became friends and and still are.  they are at different commands at Stennis so I don't think that they both have been home in months.  One or the other is usually gone it seems like.  Are they going to start school on Monday?  Doesn't matter, whatever the answer is today it could be a diff answer by Monday!

Here's a picture of my son, Nick (far right) with some new friends at Keesler. I think this was the first night they arrived (last Saturday) but not sure.

Hi Kelli and Kristine! I'm so happy to have connected with you on FB as well! Kristine and I found out that our sons are starting school together and have already met. So happy! Kelli, I'm sure we have tons of questions for you. We just don't know what we don't know yet! Did you say there was a FB group as well? If not, we should def start one!

You found me Kristine!  I'm excited for you both -- the Navy has been a very good experience for my son and I think most of that is because he is an AG.  He has a great assignment so it doesn't really seem like he is in the military. Of course, things like missing Christmas last year and possibly missing his friends wedding in April don't let me forget it's Ma Navy that takes care of his schedule now!  Maybe one of your sons will end up in Stennis with mine.  He said they are short right now.  So, go ahead and ask questions, I don't mind trying to be helpful (hopefully) at all!

thanks, Kelli! I will  try to find you on FB. My email is pramsey0627@gmail.com if you want to try to find me as well. I am starting to see what you mean about not many of us. My son was the only AG from his PIR and he said there are only a few of them at Keesler. They are waiting for more to arrive as well to start a class. I am a new Navy mom, so any information i can find out is really helpful!

That was great that he got to come home!  I think there is a FB page but it has even less posts than this one.  There really aren't very many AG's, Nathan was the only one from his PIR and he had to wait a few weeks before there was enough for them to start a new class.  I am friends on FB with a mom whose son was a few weeks ahead of mine (they are roommates now at Stennis Space Center) and another mom whose was about a month behind Nathan.  It was quite the change from a bunch of us all going thru the same thing to hardly anyone.  There are a couple of general Navy Mom face book pages and another forum that i'm on that is very informational.  If you want to find me on FB (I don't have much luck when I try to find people haha), my name is Kelli Glaubitz and I live in MN.  Or my email is kellig04@gmail.com.  I really only put general stuff on most of these pages.  I don't mind getting specific on an email or personal message on FB.
