Just trying to get used to this site. My son's fiance has been on for a while and I kept popping on but put off joining because I was a bit over whelmed. mik0991 is my son's fiance and she has been great about sharing the information but I thought it was time I stopped lurking and showed started to try and learn the site a bit more.
Oh good, now something you can circle on your calendar! Hopefully the real letter will follow soon so you can find out how he's doing. Although, since he's in the performing division I think they get even less time than the others.
Hi! I got my fiance's form letter today! Ship 02, Div 932! PIR 6/22 =D
yup, it's the no communication that stinks the most. I would love to have a chat with other AG mom's, etc to know what their sailors are doing. There seems to be a bunch of different options for them.
Thanks so much! I will definitely keep you posted. It seems like AG is a very small community.
Wow, mik0991, you really are just getting started! Make sure you keep us posted and let us know if you have any questions. Nola and I have both been thru it and would be happy to help. It's been almost two years for me but seems like yesterday! We stay in touch on FB, I don't come on N4M site too often cuz this site doesn't get much action!
Nola, I love finding stuff like that for "the collection". I had a FB message from Nathan that they made it, hotel was ok "except for the bugs". That's all it said. I will message you more details if I ever get them, which better be soon!
hi kellig, it's been so long since we last chatted. : ) have to tell you I was at a g-sale yesterday and there was a sailor hat with Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois on it and I just had to have it, you know for the collection. Big spender, I paid a whopping .10 for it. Have you heard from your sailor? I guess on here you have to talk in code. :o)
I haven't received the form letter yet. I should get it sometime this week.
Hi mik0991, my son is an AG that is still in MS. Ok, stationed in MS but on his 3rd trip out of the country in about 6 months. When is PIR?
Good deal. My son was at Keesler AFB (Biloxi) also and he loved it there during the winter! He's out in WA. state now where it never gets hot. This next year will fly by with plans for the wedding and it will be interesting to see where you end up for a few years. You could even stay in MS. so we'll see.
