My son has been in San Diego for almost a year now at the Fleet Weather Station in Coronado. Hard to believe how fast it's gone. I was able to find a facebook page of the fleet weather station and was able to see all Kinds of pictures of my son. So all you new moms that have kids who don't like to take pictures and share what there up to, there is a way to keep up with what their doing. Just do your research once you know where he will be stationed. He is now on a ship getting ready to
deploy in January. He loves it as he works with a great team of both Marines and Navy. Just thought I would share my experience so far. With the pictures I have found and being a member of the facebook group for his ship I am putting together a wonderful scrapbook that I know someday he will appreciate. Congrats to all the new graduates.

Thanks kellig!

@kellig - My Sailor likes Stennis a lot.  Feels just like a regular job except he knows what he's going to wear everyday!  He likes being on the NASA site.  Feels part of an important community.  He lives not far from Stennis, About 10 minutes.  So He never even sees the SeeBee base unless he needs something for his uniform.

5 years ago my sailor went early a.m. to OHare and flew out in the afternoon. We were able to spend the whole time with him til he boarded. They have a very nice USO. Just make sure you have ID to go to the gate. Denver, how does your sailor like Stennis? I know I have said it before but mine really liked it alot.
