So what did she get Marine navy?  My son is bummed out as he can not be on a carrier.  He had been talking about that for almost a year of working on the FA18's and going out to sea... ah life, it's always changing..

marine navy mom..Thank you and I added that group.  I like to stay positive as much as possible as your life is what you make of it.  However, my husband and I have had 3 jobs together, and this last one that we are currently about to leave we have been with the company for 3 years.  We have been hip to hip, with the same schedules for so long.  Its not like we are kicking each other out of our lives, we just have a good foundation in our relationship, and he wanted to serve his country and have more pride himself to support our family.  For that, all I can do is support and be thankful and grateful that my husband is willing to work hard to provide and fight for our freedom. We truely love each other and with that I will send my Sailor a packing with love. :)

Thank you to all for answering my questions.  We went to the recruiter office this morning and one of the recruiters is an AT, and she said anywhere from 4 months to 6 months..just depends if he is AE or AT.  AE is shorter and AT is longer, and there could be a month of hold time inbetween BC and "A" School.  Im not to worried about this because I know my husband is smart and if he is AT then very well could be 6 months or longer.  The catch is, is we do not have any kids besides 2 dachsunds, so moving anywhere is fine with me.  Im pretty easy going and go with the flow.  Im just excited about this new change in our lives.  Being 30 going into the Navy is not the same as in going when your straight out of High School.  Its almost like a mid-life crisis, waking up and saying, "I need to growup more".  However, that is how I see it.  Thank God, we have this site because I will need your help through the process, and Thank God for our families who support and help us along the way, and MOST Importantly..Thank God for those who go into the Milatary to Fight for our Freedom :)

Happy New Year To All!  I am new to this site and my husband will be going to BC in Feb. 2011 as an E3, AT.  Im really excited to be apart of this group and others.  Im really hoping that I would be able to move with him to P - cola for his "A" School.  I know it has to be 6 months or longer in a ble for me to move with him.  Does anybody have any experience with this and is it for certain you think?

Great to see you all!  Wonderful news too.  Safe travels to all that are traveling and well wishes to those who will travel at a later date.  Happy Holidays!
