He flew out with Daniel!!!!!!!!!!!! He had to of. Daniel said he flew out with 7 other boys out of Montgomery. Daniel took his cell phone with him and called when he landed. I, like Sharon, did not get the base call but I'm soooo thankful he took his phone because he called me 3 times yesterday.

Hi Shannon, welcome to the group, I'm new also. My son leaves tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to deliver him without crying, per his instruction.

I live in Monroeville, Kind of between Montgomery and Mobile. I have another son who is 23, senior at MSU. Daniel will turn 19 Sept 2 while at boot camp. I read on here not to send anything to alert the person in charge or they make them do push ups.
Have you still not heard from your son?

Hi Sharon
My son will leave Tues. I thought they could call when you got there? Try and rest, I'm sure you will be telling me the same thing next week. We will support each other.

Hi everyone
My son leaves from Montgomery on Tuesday for boot camp. I know he can take $25.00, stamps, address, prepaid calling card. Can he wear his contact lens? He does not have glasses.

Hi My name is Robin, from Monroeville. My son will leave for BT in 4 weeks. He's my youngest of 2 boys, so I'll be empty nesting. The emotions are rampant.... proud, happy, sad, I'm so glad to have this site. I'm going to try to upload some pics this weekend.

Hi ladies, yes the lunch was fun and interesting, especially in an area like Birmingham, where the military doesn't have much of a presence. I say "hats off" to our children for the paths they have chosen, I know we are all proud of them and pray for their good health, safety and happiness. May God bless each of them. Nancy Cagle

Oh BTW Cindy, can you draw my face in your picture! LOL! I missed that shot!
