Hi Moms. I live in the Huntsville/Madison area. Would love to meet up with any Moms for lunch or coffee etc in the Madison, Limestone,Marshall. Was really involved in N4M while we lived in Georgia. I really haven't gotten a chance to meet Moms from Alabama.

His box has arrived! Unfortunately, no one was home when they tried to deliver it yesterday, so maybe I will actually receive it today.

Yes, BrentsMom...he flew from Montgomery Airport which for some reason is notorious for flight delays! It was a comfort to know that he wasn't traveling alone though. Maybe there will be some other SR(s) traveling straight through with him, if not from Montgomery, maybe on the flight from Atlanta to Chicago. Where's your hometown? Oh, I didn't go to his swearing in. I saw him do that at a special night at the Montgomery Biscuits where they honored the military and new recruits. It wasn't the official one but he didn't really want us to meet up with him the next day after saying our goodbyes at the hotel the night before.

Hi Brentsmom! My son left on the11th. He left from Montgomery to Atlanta and from Atlanta to Chicago. The Montgomery flight was delayed which caused him and two others (one from B'ham and one from Trussville), to miss their flight to Chicago. I mean they ran to the gate and the door literally shut in their face. They called whoever they were supposed to and were told to catch the next flight to Chicago and as long as they got to Chicago by 10pm they were okay. I got the scripted an 10:50 that night and was so relieved.

Hi all! I just joined this group. I live in Wetumpka, just 20 minutes from Montgomery where I grew up and currently work. It's between Montgomery and Prattville. My son arrived in GL Thursday night, so I don't have his address or PIR date yet.

Hi Laurie! I live in Huntsville. My name is Michelle and my son will have been serving one year on August 1. We are in Norfolk, Virginia today to see our sailor return from deployment at the Homecoming for the USS Eisenhower. You will love your daughter's PIR. The Navy really knows how to do ceremonies!
