The one on the right is my sailor. The second pic of the award is the one my Airforce boy got.
So tired tonight. Worked 11 hours yesterday and only 7 today but I am soooo ready for a day off. Gotta wait til Weds though, LOL.
Well yesterday was my sailors 23rd birthday. I didn't send him anything because I just got his address. I got him a check visa card, well actually 2 of them for 50 each. Was nervous about sending out cash in the mail, especially that amount.
I don't know if I told you or not but I have to have a hysterectomy now too. Found out while we were on vacation. I am so nervous about it. Not sure of when yet though because I have to see the doc this weds. I will keep you informed though. Not sure how long recovery is or anything. Do you know?
I wanted to Congratulate my sailor on his ESWS pin. He got it while they were deployed. I am so proud of him.
Nita, Sorry to hear about all of your friends. I am sorry I have not called you for a long time but with getting the new job and working so much, I don't really talk to a whole lot of people. Congrat's on the new baby to come. I am sure the blanket looks great or will at least once you are all done with it. I am feeling a little better now. The pain isnt so bad now. It was pretty intense for a couple of days. So happy I didn't work those days. Ya, I got an email from my sailor a couple of days ago and he said it drove him crazy knowing we were there and he couldn't see us. It broke my heart. He said though he may come home in a couple of months. So hopefully he will come home for Thanksgiving this year.
Hey Marcy, hope you are feeling a bit better. Sorry to hear about your health problem.. hopefully they can take care of it without drastic measures such as what they are suggesting. But then again, perhaps you should get a second opinion. I will say a prayer for you. I hope things go well, So sorry you didn't get to meet up with your son.. That's a bummer, but glad you got to see some sights.
Hi everyone, hope you are doing well and keeping busy. I have a lot on my plate. I have to finish my grandsons' b/d presents and get them over to the house. The week of the party for their birthday, I had 2 funerals for 2 dear friends of mine, one being a guy I graduated from high school with. so of course I didn't finish their presents. Daughter understood, but not so understanding was the son in law's reaction. So things have been rather awkward... that's a whole different chapter... one that has made me feel sad and rather blue....But I have something to share that puts me in a possible pink, but definite yellow or green state. Nita's gonna be a grandma again. So I am putting together a quilt for the kids... I have bees on a blue background....but really need to incorporate some neutral colors in there.. possibly some pink, yellow green. or I will wait a couple of more months to see what we are getting....but I can tell you this... the bees on the fabric, kinda go with the reason I have "bee" in my screen name. I am and will always be a seabee mom...My seabee is going to be a daddy. and I am excited.
Sorry first chance I have had to get on here. Didn't feel well the day after we came home. I was tired and now while we were on vacation my docs office called and said I have to have a hysterectomy. They didn't know we were on vacation, so no biggy until I said I would call when we got home from Hawaii. The nurse was like, oh my gosh, I am so sorry to bother you. Well she didn't know. I had an MRI done a few weeks ago and they found something in my uterus and said that is the only way to take care of it. I was more worried about work because I only started a month ago. Anyways they were okay with it. I highly doubt they would get rid of me because we are short people anyways and they need the help.
Anyways, We had a great time in Hawaii. The first day we just went site seeing. Day 2 went to the Sea Life Park and swam with a dolphin. Day 3, Hit the beaches, day 4 Polynesian Culture Center, that was really cool. Day 5 Went to the Arizona Memorial. I wanted to cry, it is so sad. Those men and woman were so brave. To hear the whole story was just so moving. I don't like to say this but you almost look at the Japanese in a different way after seeing that, but we got paybacks so I guess you can say it was even. We also went to the Dole plantation I do believe on Thursday. All the days ran together because we didn't have to really keep track. Oh we went to the Aloha Stadium to the flee market. We didn't even get through all of it. I wish I was still there. The only bad thing about the whole trip is the long flights. It is so worth it once you get there though.
I did get an email from my sailor and he said he was sorry he was just getting back to me but he it bothered him knowing we were there and he couldn't see us. It broke my heart. I did think of that the whole time we were there too.
So happy to hear Conner is starting to walk and talk. It won't be quiet in your house anymore, LOL.
Well gotta go and get ready for work. I work 1-9 tonight. I don't mind once I get to work but getting ready to go is another story.
