Carol, we know you are busy with school and all so just come back when you can. So glad you got some quaility time with your son too. I know what you mean about them being out to sea, mine goes out quite often and will be for 7 months here soon. He asked me not to say for sure when on here or to anyone because of security risk and all., you know how that is. Anyway, he will be gone for awhile too so I know how you feel. If you need anything just jump on here and we can try to help. Blondie knows what it is like too.
Busy weekend for us again too. Went to Idlewild yesterday and had a great time. If you don't know what it is, it is an amusement park mainly for younger kids. It is so nice and it is so shady there and they have a water park too. We love to take Mia there because it is so kid friendly. One of these year she will grow out it but for now it is perfect.
well gotta get studying now that hubby has left for the week. Well hope all has had a great weekend.
oh yeah my son went out on a ship for the week , then he will be deployed for 9 months sometime in july, i guess you can say this was a test run or something, well at least he will know what its like when hes out for the week, i cant wait to talk with him when he comes back, i sure hope he likes it because 9 months is a long time
Blondie, I was wondering about her. I was just thinking of her the other day and wondering how she was and how J was. That is great he got promoted. Wonder what she meant when she said she almost lost him? If you hear anything let me know. I did have her number but don't know what I did with it.
The reading restaraunt was so cute. We came to the door and your child said, how are you and welcome to our reading restaraunt. Then seated us. We then got a menu and on it, it had an appetizer, which was a poem, you got to pick one or two, I picked 2. Then the main course was a story they had to read and for desert a song. They sang On Top of Speghetti all covered with meatball. We got a doggy bag, which was a pizza box with their writing in it and how they did from the beginning of the year. We then had pizza and cookies too. I tell you it was the cutest thing. Oh we had a center piece, which was a flower they had made out of paper with their pictures in the middle. I have mine on my desk and that is where it will stay.
Well it is Wednsday and sailor went back yesterday. I was so sad yesterday. Had a good weekend and week with him though. He really divided his time between everyone and that was nice. He came to camp Friday evening and spent the day with us. I loved every minute. I took pics on my phone and as soon as I get phone card I will post them. I have one where him and his little sis are walking up to the fire tower holding hands from behind them. I love that pic. Well then when it came time for him to go back to the airport of course low life dad had something else to do and couldn't take him. So he was scrambling for someone to take him and of course MOM came thru once again. I ended up having him go to my school with me because I was so afraid of not getting back in time for class and I had a test yesterday, so that is why I couldn't originally take him to the airport. So, anyways, what I ended up doing it taking him to my school with me and I called a cab to take him to the airport. I hated doing that but I didn't know what else to do. I had asked my sis, BIL, best friends hubby and couple of other people and they all had to work, so that was my only option. He didn't mind though but mom did. I felt bad I had to send him in a cab and me not take him instead. It ended up costing me 50 for him to ride in the cab. I had given him 25 thinking that would be and should be enough but when the cab driver came I had told him what I had given him and he said it would be 35-40 dollars. So I gave him an extra 25 just to be on the safe side. Now I know he could have paid for it himself but I wanted to do that for him. I don't get to do much for him anymore so I felt it was my duty to do it. I dont even mind that I had to take him to school with me because that gave me some extra alone time with him.
Well gotta get some school work done and other stuff around the house too. Have a great day and stay cool .
