Hi Everyone.  Aaron graduated Nuclear Power Training Unit (prototype) as well on Nov 10, 2011 in Ballston Spa, NY.  He is a Machinist Mate 3 and qualified as a US Navy Nuclear Operator.  He was selected for additional training for Engineering Lab Technicians (ELT) which classes up in Jan 2012.  He said he will definitely be assigned to a submarine.  Where?  I do not know.

Hello Ladies,    Nathan graduated Nuke Prototype school on 10Nov.  He is now an Electricains Mate Nuke.  He had orders to the USS Enterprise and reports by mid Dec.  He is looking forward to it.  His sisters is also stationed in Norfolk on the USS Ross.  It will be nice to have my 2 sailors together.

Saw Nate over his 4 day off period.  It was great to visit BS.  He will be home on his next one in 3 wks.  He is doing well so far in prototype but ready to be done with schooling and actually get on a ship and start working!  He graduates towards the end of Oct., depends on how long/often the reactor goes down.

He very well might be.  I have not heard my son say "in hull" in our phone conversations.  Depending on his schedule, I might fly up there during 4th of July and spend a couple of days with him.  I just checked my Facebook account and you're still my "friend" on the site.  You can send me a message there, too.

Regards,

Susan CM

Hi Aaron's mom, I wonder if Nathan is in your son's class.  Nate will be section 1 when they start "in hull"  training.  We are going up to see him towards the end of July when he has 4 days off.

Nate was home for Memorail Day weekend.  His car was repaired and he drove it back up to NY.  His 1 roommate is okay the other is harder to get along with but he's managing!  Nate is an EM and has been in prototype for 5 wks also.

Hello everyone!

Aaron graduated Power School in early March, which I attended.  He departed on his road trip from Goose Creek to Balston Spa on Apr 29.  On the way, he spent two nights in DC and attended three Giants games.  Now, he has been fully immersed in prototype for the past 5 weeks.

Nate passed comps and is now with us for a week.  Graduation was a mess.  Started outside, moved everyone inside and at the last minute moved us all outside again.  It poured before it was over but all the sailors got their certificates before that happened!  So glad we are back home again.  Going to Ballston Spa, NY will be a nice change

Nuke Power School comps today.  Nate is finished and results will be posted about 6 or 6:30 today.

BR549, congrats on your sailor getting to leave.  How long has he been on hold? Nathan has been lucky with not having much hold time. Nate has been in school most of time. Nate hopes to go on a sub after prototype.  I hope San Diego is great. Is it closer for you to visit?  NY is closer for us than SC.
