Hi Salma, I am sorry..I guess I may have not interpreted your exclamations correctly. Perhaps you are not happy but sad. I am finding that alot of moms are not happy about that in my reading. I guess I was just thinking about how my son wanted to be there. It must be very hard to think about. I know no matter where my son is I still do not get to see him, as he is out to sea. It is tough. Hang in there. Sorry

Hi MyHero and Lydia,

Thanks for the info that "they kicked ass in inspection" good to know.

My phone call with Son was very nice last night. He was polishing his boots while he talked to em. We talked about Duty station and mail and so many things. So nice to hear his voice. He kept saying that this is his job.  Important not football team or summer camp his job. He is very proud to be a sailor. I told him I would love to send him a few nice pillow cases for his bed but he said that it would be alot of work to take it on and off everyday. I guess they can not have them or these sorts of things yet. Learned alot about their quarters and that there is alot of stealing going on aboard ships. Brand new world out there.

Hello Ladies!!  Just wanted to say Hi! My sailor is still in GL and hating the cold weather but loves the Navy life.  I'm so happy that you all are still on here.  Sometimes I get a little melancholy because he's not around but I'm so proud of who he is becoming.

Anyway, I hope all of your sailors are doing great!!!
