He's a BM and I did talk to him a little while ago, and he said he's section 2.

Sorry Lori, I have no idea what section he is in, heck I don't even know what you mean by a "section"  I'm assuming its a shift of some sort.  But I've been known to be wrong in my assumptions.

I was worried about my son's flight being delayed because of the weather, but he made it through.  Yeah!  I'm hoping to get atleast one box a month out to him, plus all the other ones he'll get from other family members.

Hi everyone, I thought I'd weigh in too about our home states.  Anyone here from New Jersey?  It took our son 12 hours-plus to get back to the ship yesterday.  The 1st leg of the trip was delayed because of weather, then he missed his connection to Dulles, checked baggage going on ahead of him, "slept" in chairs at the gate, yikes.  Whatelks, that's nice of you to offer goodies from your son's boxes.  Our church will be sending a big box in mid-January and our son'll return the favor then!!

Yeah we had go arounds with the airlines, too.  I swear if I heard, "well can't you  call him on his cell phone"  no matter how many times I said, "middle of the atlantic" they didn't get it.  lol.

My son had a time with the airlines because of the delay and it was a mess trying to help him with just us sending emails and not getting to talk about things but it worked out also because he got to ride with some friends that were going home up north.  They were so nice.  It made me feel so much better just to know there are such good guys on the ship.  I'm glad it worked out for your son.  I think they all look out for each other.

Eww.  Sorry, but you are probably right.  Wow we really are close.  Closer then I though I'd find considered the small number of people on the ship.  I mean if we were talking the number of people like is on a air craft carrier I wouldn't be so surprised.  And there is actually another NC family besides Caroline,  after the last incident, my son's airline ticket was up in the air so he caught a ride with a shipmate that said they had family up near Durham, but was actually going to go to Concord.  So it was like fate, they shared driving and drove straight through from Jacksonville.

Also, anyone on here, if your son/husband/brother needs something tell them to find my son, with so many people sendig boxes in his family I see him have extra and he's a good one for helping out, lending a hand and sharing.

Whatelks- Jefferson is right below Pageland in Chesterfield County. It takes me about 35 minutes to get to Monroe. You may of heard of Jefferson because it has been on the news for the past 2 days.  It is such a small town with just one stop light and nothing ever happens but Monday a lady was kidnapped, raped, and beat to death. So sad but that is probably where you heard about it.
