Hi SuzieQ and Lori!  Thanks for the welcome, I'm glad to know that there is a N4M group for the Simpson.  I've had computer (freezing) issues ever since I started trying to research the ship but it seems to be hard to find really current info.  Is it currently deployed?  I found something about readiness for deployment in October, so I thought it must be.  I only got a brief text from my son this morning to give me the basic info and I'm sure he knows more but I have no patience after waiting so long lol.  He's getting used to me and my internet searches . . . I will check out the utube - thank you Lori.

Hi ladies!  I see there hasn't been much activity on this site in a little while but I hope I can find a kindred spirit or two.  My son is a GSE (initially in the Nuke program then back to school at GL) and just received orders for the USS Simpson a couple of hours ago lol.  He is currently finishing up the last few days of school and - I believe - he will be sent to the ship right after Christmas.  I am anxious to meet some other Moms and hear more about this ship, if anyone is out there?

Spacey- I am glad to see other people have had trouble also.  I think I'm just going to give it up for now and do the facebook thing Lori was talking about.

Lori, Do you know what I may be doing wrong...I got a password for the family web and for whatever reason I can't access the page.  I have tried all sort of things. What is the secret?   Thank you

I am new to the group.  My son has been home for 2 weeks and left today for the USS Simpson.  He left for boot camp in Feb. and then to Hospital Corpsman school in Great Lakes and now to the ship.  So as you can see we are still new to all of this Navy stuff and any advice anyone has that may help us with this next new adventure would be welcomed.  Thank you!
