Good morning Astrid....Did I miss some info in regards to a video showing everyone recieving their ESWS pins? My son sent a pic of himself, but that was it......I told my husband I wasnt gonna search the internet for info...I will just make myself upset.
Hey Astrid -- Congrats to Augusto! Nick received his ESWS pin the same day, he was pretty excited about it. I watched the video yesterday, it was such a nice collection of photos and clips. I'm sure there were many tears flowing on the S.A. when that was played for them.
Girl....Aren't they all interesting situations?...This is my third tour of duty being a new mother-in-law.You know you were a good mom.And you know if he is happy, then you are happy.I had a lady at work that just rubbed me the wrong way, and I made a firm decision to love her no matter what! Would you believe she is now one of my dearest friends ever!? That particular experiment of mine really taught me a lot! Lol! I believe the universe delivers what we say out loud......Just shout that your family is just the happiest family there ever was! :) People think I am singing in my car, but really, I just state over and over in the present tense what I want for my family....For us all to be very happy, healthy, wealthy, and to be at peace with others, as well as ourselves! Ox
Oh CyndiH, My son got married also while he was on leave. We are the only moms they will ever have.Never feel like you are being replaced.I know things shift some when our sons get married.I know he would be thrilled to see you!...Here is a big (( hug)) from me to you! It is like we have lost our sons to the navy AND to a wife! Thank you for sharing...See! We are not alone!
Hi Denise, I searched you tube but never could find it. I don't think we are on the FRG's Email list. Could you post a link to the video?
Astrid, I wanted to say congratulations to your son! I know you are proud, I hope our son reaches that level as well. You have a lot to be proud of, from what I've been told that exam is not an easy one and most have to take it two or even three times before they pass.
Hi everyone, I've been following the news in the region our boys are in and read the article. I'm worried, but our kids and our Navy are the best in the world and the ship they are on is well equipped. My son said they have him standing watch and reading charts, I guess that's how O.S. starts out in their training. I told him what I had been reading and asked him to please pay extra close attention, especially to small boats. Of course they have that backed up by radar and other people. But though I know the chances of an attack are slim and the chances of it's success are even slimmer a mom can't help but worry. I know we're going to be saying a prayer every night for our kids.
JuJu, you are so right about the change these kids made after boot camp. I was both amazed and impressed with what they managed to do. They put the fear of God in our son! I had never been so proud of him. We were up for his graduation and Timmy wanted to buy a laptop with the money he had been paid. We took him to Walmart. While he was looking over the computers a woman and her daughter came up. They mentioned they were there to pick out a computer for her other daughter who was also in the Navy and they asked if they could ask us some questions. Timmy stepped up and every sentence was "yes mamm", "no mamm" etc. But even more amazeing... he was talking! He was actually talking, not just mumbling! For him that was a miracle lol. I wanted to go back and shake his CO's hand lol. The woman commented on his good manners and I swelled up with pride because of it.
Our kids are good kids, they will be diligent and will make sure they do their job and no harm will come to them or their shipmates and the ship. Of that i'm sure.
