I receive a call from Augusto today at 2 pm!!! I almost faint as is the first time he calls and it was an unknown call to my cell. He said he was tired but fine and that he was calling from the ship and it was 9 pm. The connection was clear as if he was really near and we spoke for about 10 minutes. It was so good to hear him!
Linda- I asked about your son Nicholas Wadleigh and he said he was one of his good friends aboard and that he was fine. He was happy we met in N4M!
teresa & magz35 ~ YAY!! I'm so glad you heard from your sons! I think the only way I will is with email. I'll take what I can get. He has better access to computers than most, so that's probably why I hear from him more often. Not that they're long emails, more like a couple of statements, but I'll take what I get. Have a great rest of the day!
I was on the computer just now checking Email when all of a sudden an Email came through from Timmy! It's the first we've gotten since they were in Greece. He said they have been really busy. He mentioned he was in his bunk with his laptop and fell asleep sitting up and the laptop hit the floor and broke. So if we got an Email maybe they aren't as busy as they were and you guys will be hearing word from your sons also.
Can you hear it now? Dude... your mom told my mom to tell me to tell you to call her! Get on it! lol
Linda, I guess at least the little weasel was telling me the truth and wasn't trying to get out of talking to me lol. Maybe they will all start talking again soon. I would think soon the ship would be due to go into a port. Hopfully we will hear from them then.
And you're right Teresa..it was better than nothing! It was so good to hear his voice.
Nicholas called me from the ship phone last week. You can't really hold much of a conversation because of the delay. We kept talking over one another so it didn't last long.
Since noone has heard from their sons I wonder if the ships Email is down? Our son told us that during certain manuevers the ship is "up the river" as he termed it. In which the ships shuts down it's Email, I suppose for security reasons. We asked him about the ships phone systems but he said they were pretty lousy and it took several seconds between speaking and the other person hearing it. But i'm thinking "well, that's better than nothing" :o(
Pretty soon there will be a whole lotta yelling going on on that ship. :-)
