Hi, I wanted to stop by and just follow the group for a little bit.  My son is stationed on the USS WASP, but has been temp. moved to the San Antonio for some training in his new rate he just received in Nov/Dec. He will be on the ship for 28 days then back to his.  Hope all is doing well on here today

Good morning everyone!  I haven't been on in a while.  Eleven days until my daughter's wedding!!  It's not looking like my sailor will be home for the wedding.  Really bummed, but I know he's doing his job.  I guess I'll just draw a stick figure with a dixie cup on the picture!  lol  Have a great day everyone!!

Linda,

It doesn't seem to matter if your son has been there six days or almost a year....I keep hearing different things also!  LOL  You need to be very careful about passing info on here.  Your son will get full details soon and he should be able to share that with you.

Have you heard anything about the underway or deployment that you can private message to me? My son just arrived on the ship 6 days ago and is hearing all sorts of different things!

Our son was home for four days at Christmas. We're hoping and praying he can make his sister's wedding Feb 3, even if it's just a couple of days. If it's meant to be, God will make a way.

I heard something about that too!  And then shortly after that... deployment?

@ Linda,

Cryptologic Technician - Technical (CTT), It's more mental than physical.  He really likes physical jobs, so he's kinda bored and gets antsy.  He's been known to do pullups from the exposed overhead pipes and squats in the corner of the room.

Hi Helen, what's CTT?
