I have to say that i love this site.  i dont comment much but i follow the comments thru my email.  when my son was at boot camp i lived and died by this site.  i was so grateful for it.  it helped get me thru the tough times.  nice to know that there are moms out there experiencing the same things.  so we havent heard anything in a while but i still send emails then this am got the one liner, yep that is my kid too, =)  any way i was checking out the fb page and holy cow there he was getting his pin.  i cried.  he looks so grown up not the little 5 year boy that i think/wish he still should be.  congrats to all.  hang in there and we will all meet when they return home safe and sound.

Welcome Cari, I am sorry for your sad news and will add your dad to my prayers and that he can get together with his grandson come this fall.
I believe that when we pray we put our hopes and petitions before God and by the mere act of doing this, He listens to us and responds.
Welcome again to the group!

I have never commented on here this new for me.. My son is Quarter Master on the USS San Antonio. He us having a really hard time. We found out this week my Dad has lung cancer and Tyler ( my son ) is very close to him. His papaw is the reason he chose the Navy. I got the call today to but he was very upset. We had the Chaplin tell him. He had told his wife he would want to know if anything happens with his Grandparents while he was gone. It breaks my heart that I can't be with him. Please pray for him and my Dad that they will get time for each other when he gets back in November. God Bless all our Children! Thank you! Cari

My son told me that whenever they lift the black out, everyone tries to rush and get on line to make a call, if you have watch then you have to wait till the end of your watch to get on line. so be patient those who are waiting for calls

I got a one liner too!  All it said was "Email is back up, love you all!"

Congrats Denise!!  Big accomplishment!!

I too had an email from my son.  I just got it because of where I am right now.  Sent at 2am and I get it at 3pm.  Oh well, it's good to know he's okay with the usual one liner that doesn't have to do with anything.  lol  That's my boy!!
