Helen, I feel so drawn to our website, because I know you guys know how I feel.ALL of my sons have their degrees, and I know people get impressed with that.....But sometimes I feel bummed when people don't get as impressed with my son's decision to join the military.I can honestly say I am most proud of my Navy son! What they go through, mentally, physically, and emotionally is something most of us will never know....I feel like getting on top of my roof top with a megaphone, and shout,"You are able to have your enjoyable day of freedom in this GREAT COUNTRY, thanks in part to MY SON who is serving in the military!!!!!"......Can I hear an AMEN?!!!!!!!!!

I feel so bad that my pictures for Nick, for some reason, didn't make it into the video.  I have confirmation from Colleen that she received them and everything was all set, I have no idea what happened from that point forward. :-(

Wow.  I second GoldnG8r.  At least this gives me specifics for prayer.  My son is assigned to a gun on the ship.  I hope he doesn't have to use it.  Hugs to all the moms today.

Congrats to the sailors earning their ESWS!!  That's a hard one to earn.

I made it to Georgia with two teenagers that slept most of the 13 hours.  That was a fun trip.  Waking up, asking what state we were in and then going back to sleep.  To be a teenager again.  Not.

Just watched the halfway video.  Dang.  I think I need to reapply my makeup!  lol

You have internet?  Yes, I begged my daddy to leave his hotspot here with me.

I'm in agreement with JuJu!!!  Protection for our ship!  I don't watch the news and don't read articles unless someone points me in that direction.  We are here for each other and people that are not in our situation just don't get it.  Having an idea where they're at can make our prayers more specific.  I really don't know what I'd do without this support.  HUGS to all the moms out there!!!

Good morning Linda.....Even though I have decided not to hunt for news, it does make me feel better, just lighting a candle.People don't get what the families go through.

I do find myself cussing like a sailor sometimes!  Not due to iPad usage though. lol

Good morning JuJu.  No video of the ESWS pinning, I think we all received the individual pictures though.  I was referring to the memories of home video.

Anyone else find themselves cussing like a sailor, trying to type a message on an ipad? It is like trying to perform a ballerina routine on a slip n' slide!......Need.Coffee.Now....Haha!
