Hi-My son is in Pensacola waiting to class up. He has been there since 7-23. He is starting to get restless a bit. Wants to get started. Any advice? Or long does AE school last? Anything anyone could tell me would be great. I'm so glad to have found an AE group.

Thanks for the replies.
She is I level which is basically AE but not on any particular aircraft. She will be working on components in a shop, not a platform (aircraft type).

OK, so my wife just got a copy of her orders and I have a question for everybody out there.
Has anybody's sailor (male or female) gotten orders sending them to C-school in Cherry Point, NC?? To say the least my wife was very surprised because this is a Marine base and neither she nor her friends have heard of this before.

If you have a sailor that has had C-school there can you elaborate on what they did there and why they went there? We are surprised and dumb-founded. We were planning our move from Pensacola straight to Norfolk in a couple of weeks. Now she isn't due in Norfolk until the end of the year!!

I just seen on another group that graduation is short. My question is how long is the AE graduation ceremony in Pensacola? If you went do you think it was worth the drive? My wife's parents live in Iowa and it is a 1K drive and takes about 25 hours and if it is a short 15 minute ceremony maybe they shouldn't come.

Any thoughts on this from the parents on here??
