Donna - let Ashley know that many of the kids trade movies. Chris has done it a lot, has terrabytes of them. He's gotten separate portable storage drives (terrabytes, again) for his music, movies, photos. Sadly, he's in TX at the moment so can't get with her to help her out. He should get out of school & back to the sand in about 3 months. Have her check around in the interim. Folks will gladly share & she may have music or a movie they want so she could return the favor.
Leta - awesome pics! Good grief Suzanne, don't feel dumb, you are not alone! Was also in the dark about Diego Garcia! Will Google too! Never fails...I learn something new on here everyday!!!! Thx.
Oh you are not dumb- I had never heard of it-had to Google it! It is part of a coral reef, 2700 miles SE of Bahrain, seems we share a base there with the Brits. It is below the equator. He is not stationed there, just getting a new boat from there......
Suzanne-Adam liked Bahrain and Dubai, saw things he could only see on TV. He was not there long--out on mission twice. He said Diego Garcia was beautiful, great weather, but only there briefly and out on mission to whereabaouts unknown!!
Stay strong and carry on-guess that's all we can do, oh and PRAY alot!!
Leta - safe journey for Daniel. The waiting must be awful, but the payoff will be stellar!
Kathy B - thanks for the site, been a migraine sufferer since elementary school. Am over the worst of this one, but have a headache "hangover". Moving very s l o w l y & carefully for a while. We went with friends to a evening at a town restaurant featuring a four course dinner accenting a local micro brewery's wares. The food was outrageously good being cooked & paired with selected beers. I know I can't tolerate certain wines & liquors, but I didn't expect such a virulent response to these potent potables. My head started doing it's thing just after the beer float we had for dessert. Am into blandness for the time being.
Donna - Was Steve's dog Grimm a Dutch Shepard? I've been wandering the web offerings on MWD's and on Lackland's pages. I saw a dog that looked very much like Mr. Grimm, that handsome devil..... Course I hit the puppy breeding program pics too. OMG! What cuties, all feet & ears!!!! Just want to grab them up and hug, hug, hug. Got the giggles sitting here, made me think of a line from "Despicable Me"; "It's so FLUFFY!" Makes me long for our sweet (late) Miss KC.
Happy for you Leta!
My MA has left Bahrain for Diego Garcia and a new assignment. He thinks he will be gone awhile, but of course can't be specific. Any other sailors just ship to there? He said he had over 20 sailors with him.
