Good Evening Ladies, just a note that I will be leaving your blog since my son is now finished with his job in Bahrain. So happy to have him home for leave then it is off to Romania. Although I have not commented often on this blog, it has been nice to read your comments and know that I could talk to someone going through the same worries as myself. You are a strong group of moms. So keep up the positive feedback and support!!
CindyW - our son is currently in Yokosuka aboard the USS Mustin (a destroyer) and will be heading to Bahrain in August. They also thought they would get sent stateside (he, his wife and 4 year old daughter) but were shocked to learn he has to go serve one year (by himself) in Bahrain.
Hello Hello Hello.....
Just popping in to see how many Navy Moms currently have family in Bahrain?
My son is there and has been there since 10/2014...figured maybe if I wasnt the only mom with someone there then it would help ease my anxiety a little.
Anywho , Have a SUNSHINY Day :)
My son is being commissioned 5/8 just learned he will be heading to Bahrain assigned to a mindsweeper. Could use any advice anyone has. New to all of this. Not sure what he will have to or should bring with him.
