Thanks, Ducky! Learned something new!
I'm concerned about the Iraq unrest also. What is a Riverine?
My son will leave in Oct for Riverine and I have been worried as well but I am finding comfort in the Navy Moms Bahrain Facebook posts. They are saying that the Bahrainis are very nice and that the Arabic culture is extremely warm and friendly.
Hi All, My daughter is a Riverine and leaves Tuesday.....worried and nervous about all the unrest in Iraq right now....
KC'smom - Awww...I pray you also get to see him! :) Thank him for his service for me please. I also get emotional when it comes to my husband, well the whole military actually. These men and women are doing something that I feel I could never do and so I am so very thankful for everything they do. They do not get told enough "thank you." Praying for you and your son!
Lovemyseabee- way to make me cry!!! hahaha, I'm so emotional when it comes to my son. Thank you for your post. That is very exciting news. Mine goes back every couple of months alternating with his home base. I'm praying I can see him before he goes back since I haven't seen him yet since his return to the US!!
I just need to share my enthusiasm! We are under 100 days until my hubby comes home from Bahrain!!!! YAY!!!! Just a little over 3 months left...and oh my it's sure been a long year. I want to let all of you know that every one of your sons, daughters, husbands, and wives are in my continuous prayers. You have every right to be proud of what they do and what they stand for :)
All is well with my Sailor! Happy to continue to communicate with him "Green lights is my thing!! The time zone is messing with my sleep. Don't mind it at all its for my Sailor.
PJ-s mom. My son just got there last Wednesday. I know what you are going through. Believe it or not, I'm actually getting to talk to him more, at least for now, than I did when he was in Washington State. Evidently sim cards for their phones are pretty reasonable and he bought lots of minutes. Hang in there. Although it is still hard, it does get better.
