Congrats, chriswick. We are ready for the Bahrain mama goodbye boogie. Welcome navymomdiv931.
Thank you . I am a very proud mama. He is going to Pikeville University of Medicine and Osteopathic Medical School. He applied to the Air Force, but was denied because of surgery on his ankles when he was a teen. We are disappointed but he will be fine. He has worked for this. 4 more years and we will have a doctor.
Looks like we may get a visit from our JP soon. It has been so long. Good luck to all our sailors.
chriscwick, go to www.google.com/alert and put it whatever you want to be alerted about across the globe. I get daily alerts if there is anything newsworthy that day. No pics of Chris yet but he has posted some more pics of Bahrain and his hotel and sent an email w/ links to news articles about the arrival of 3 more PCs and a cool time-lapse video of the PC's being offloaded from the transport ship into the Persian Gulf waters. Some of the articles I'd already read thanks to Google.
paces, is Wesley going to UK? I did my Animal Sci/PreVet BS there. A great school; just loved it there. They have an excellent med school. Best wishes to him wherever he's going; you have much to celebrate!
Hi everyone. Haven't been here in a while. Trying to get Wesley ready for medical school. He leaves next Friday for Kentucky . Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. Welcome to all our newcomers. Great to have you join us. You won't find a better group for support and encouragement.
Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a nice 4th. These patriotic holidays always make me miss my son more. I wanted to let everyone know about google alerts in case you weren't aware of them. You can request alerts on anything. Currently I have alerts for his ship and Bahrain. Yesterday, I got alerts for 4 articles covering the arrival of the PCs yesterday. They were interesting reads and even had pics. So amazing that such a huge ship exists that carried these 3 PCs from Norfolk to Bahrain in 37 days! My son also posted pics on FB of the ships and the hotel he's staying in, which is amazingly beautiful. He also had pics of various sights in Bahrain. Of course NO pics of him!
