Thanks Katynorth,
I wouldn't waste my time reading that 'American Vision" stuff. All I need to know about the end of the world and Christ's coming is in the Bible. 'He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority:'" Acts 1:7

GOD Is Busy
>
> If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!
> A United States Marine was taking some college courses between assignments. He had completed 8 missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.
> One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, GOD if you are real then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 min.' The lecture room fell silent.. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting.'
> It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.
> The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.
> The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What in the world is the matter with you? 'Why did you do that?'
> The Marine calmly replied, 'GOD was too busy today protecting America 's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me.'
> The classroom erupted in cheers!

Hi Ladies,

Just dropped in to let folks know that my daughter has safely returned from Haiti and doing humanitarian relief efforts. I'm so proud of her shipmates and the Navy for actually being, A global force for good!! Thank all who kept her in your thoughts and/or prayers. I can now breathe a sigh of relief....at least until March...lol

The earthquake was a natural disaster, not a judgment of the people.
"for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." Matt. 5:45
The best way to spread the gospel to the people of Haiti is to give to christian organizations that will minister to them in Jesus's Name so they know that God has not forsaken them.

Our church gave the following sites in addition to the IMB for helping the people of Haiti:

We were like you, questioning how he could say that. We know all the people there were not guilty of this- and besides it was more their ancestors that did this, not the current poplation. Our lesson referred to Jesus saying that a child is not cursed with an affliction because of the sins of his or her parent.

Yes, I am Southern Baptist, too. So Our pastor also announced that we could give to the IMB @ www.namb.net/Haiti

Our pastor announced this morning that we could give to the Haiti crisis via International Mission Board (IMB) of the SBC.They would just designate the money for that.
We discussed that Pat R. comment in SS this morning, too. Not sure where he is coming from on that one.
