Hi Baptist Moms, Happy Valentine's day to you all.

Chrissy and I are not getting along right now.  It is real hard for me, I don't want to fight with her. Please pray for us. I sent her a Valentine card, her birthday is this month also. So trying to to decide if I should send her anything. I'm upset, but I love her so much. My heart hurts.

They reasled her name. Please pray for the Cruz family and the whole Navy family as we grieve the loss of our brave sailor;

This week the Lincoln Strike Group family lost a shipmate to the perilous depths of the sea. A leader, a friend, a patriot, a hero. OS2 Cruz has gone to a far, far better rest than she has ever known, and today all Lincoln warriors fight in her name. LCDR Marks, Lincoln Strike Group PAO (SM)

GULF OF OMAN (NNS) -- The body of a U.S. Navy Sailor reported missing from the USS Halsey (DDG 97) Jan. 18 was recovered Jan. 19 during search and rescue operations in the Gulf of Oman.

On Jan. 18, the Sailor did not report to watch and, after a search of the ship, a man overboard was called away.

Helicopters from Halsey, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), USNS Rainier (T-AOE-7) and the Royal Navy's HMS Cumberland (F 85), F/A 18 Hornets from the Lincoln and P-3 maritime patrol aircraft participated in the search
operations.

The Sailor's name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The incident is under investigation.

Halsey is deployed to 5th Fleet conducting maritime security operations.

U.S. and British units are searching for a Sailor from USS Halsey (DDG-97) who went missing while the ship was conducting operations in the Gulf of Oman Jan. 18. Our prayers are with the crew and the Sailor's family as the search continues.

Good morning Baptist Moms, Yes had  a nice holiday leave with my sailor Chrissy. She is now in VA doing C school.

She found a good church in Chicago, praying she will find a good one in VA.

Vickyrun and Katynorth, we are about the same age.  I, too, graduated in 1980.  Yes, time flies. I hope that the new year brings you many good things.
