I'm thankful that God has His hand on my 2.  They both called me today and are both well.  My daughter is starting a new position in Maryland and although she hit a deer yesterday, she was unharmed and she and a somewhat banged up car made it to Maryland today.

Good morning, This morning I went to the local Prayer Breakfast for the National Day of Prayer. Prayed for our troops.

Have you ever read "What Happens when women pray" by Evelyn Christenson or any of her other books?

That might help you. I heard her speak at a conference  and she told me to pray  for the terrorists to become Christians. So I was passing on the good advice.

I agree Katy, the best way to defeat the terrorists is to pray they find Jesus.

We won a battle but the war isn't over yet.

You don't defeat evil by killing its leader (It didn't die with Hitler) it will live on til Christ's return.

Dear Baptist Moms,

The tsunami warning is wide spread affecting many areas of the Pacific and Indian ocean besides Japan, the site of the quake, but also Guam, Korea, Phillipines and Hawaii and many other areas.  I join our chaplain in prayer for our military families living in these areas and for the parents stateside who have family members in these areas.  God Bless you all and may the waves diminish rapidly.

~ Vicky

Dear Family,

By now you have heard of the terrible natural disaster that began with a horrific earthquake in Japan and is now delivering devastating destruction throughout many lands.  I know that many of you have children stationed in Japan -- for you and your children, I pray for you.  The waters will entrench many other countries, and for those of you who have children stationed in Korea, Guam, Hawaii -- for you and your children, I pray for you.  Our mainland shores may be next today -- other lands too -- for you and your children, I pray for you.

These are the times that we know we must join together for strength ~ we must uphold, support, and pray for one another.  We must hold each military person in our hearts as if they were our own child!  If our children are not stationed where the devastation is, they may quickly be deployed to these areas to rescue and preserve life -- for you and your children, I pray for you.

This is a horrific natural disaster which shows all just how fragile life is.  If there is anything - any worry, any concern - anything at all that you need, I ask you to please let me know.  May we all pray together for everyone touched by this disaster.

God bless our children who are serving, our families, and those directly in the path of this disaster!
