get ready for phone calls girls!!!! battle stations are here and we get a call some time this week on week 7 which is Wed,  Feb 2nd/Thurs Feb 3rd   Div 63, 64, 65, 66 (tentative)"I'm a Sailor" phone calls will start to come in the day they finish, usually starting around 2 pm GL time and going into the evening.  They may need to complete PIR practice first so be patient.  Some may have watch and won't call until the next day.

7.Week Seven - At this point, you're nearly finished with boot camp. Excitement sets in and now you're ready for the final test: Battle Stations. Battle Stations is a twelve hour event held to test your entire division on how well you've absorbed everything you've learned so far. If you are present at the call for Battle Stations, this means you have successfully passed all academic and physical challenges presented to you up to this point, and are ready for this final test. You will be pushed to the very brink here, and will find that once it is over and you stand in the finishing room, dirty, beyond weary, emotional and drained. All that fades away as the Commanding Officer in charge of RTC Great Lakes comes in to personally congratulate you, presenting you and your division with your new status as a United States Sailor -- your Navy ball cap. (i cried when i read that)

feb 7-11
8.Week Eight - Graduation/Pass and Review. Aside from everything mentioned above, part of your training has been in drill and ceremony. That portion of your training will come in to play here, where you march proudly, shoulders squared and with a bolstered confidence before friends, family, and thousands of supportive individuals from all walks of life. There is nothing like it in the whole world.

I get my letters on Thursdays too! I hate having to wait a whole week for another letter! And my husband also mentioned that they have 3 (1 hr) phone calls scheduled! I cant wait for that. He said his division likes to talk  a lot so they get in trouble a lot. My husband mentioned a few names of people he talked with.

Mindy, what is the link for the facebook? I want to see :)

We seem to receive our letters on Wednesday also.  There are pictures on facebook on the Navy Recruit Training Command page.  They post a picture of the week and there were pictures of some of the recruits getting measured for the dress blues.  Looking at the pictures is my new obsession!

I wrote my husband, and I asked if he knew your boyfriend! haha. We'll see if he does or not in his next letter. Which probably won't be til a few weeks later! haha. Did your boyfriend mention anything about how many people were in the division? I hope they call again soon!

Have you purchased your plane ticket yet?

welll never mind lol ask if your husband knows Mitchell Eubank, he bunks with a guy named Henderson. i got one on christmas too. it was 2 minutes and 58 secs. i loved every minute!!!!

I dont think he bunked with my husband at the hotel? My husband was in a hotel in Sacramento, CA. Haha. I dont think they stayed in a hotel when they arrived in GL right? My husband says he's a section leader, stick holder, and crew leader. Not sure what the duties are of being a crew leader? Haha. My husband loves to talk, A LOT & he said he knows "almost everyone" in his division. Wouldnt be surprised if he knew your boyfriend! haha.

Mindy, I also received a phone call on Christmas for like 2 minutes. In my husbands letter he said they were promised 15 minutes but someone had to screw it up for them. Since then, no phone calls.

Has anyone received a phone call??  We got the 3 minute call on Christmas Day but that's it so far.  He wrote many letters on Christmas Eve that people received this past week but was really hoping for a phone call.
