Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

7.Week Seven - At this point, you're nearly finished with boot camp. Excitement sets in and now you're ready for the final test: Battle Stations. Battle Stations is a twelve hour event held to test your entire division on how well you've absorbed everything you've learned so far. If you are present at the call for Battle Stations, this means you have successfully passed all academic and physical challenges presented to you up to this point, and are ready for this final test. You will be pushed to the very brink here, and will find that once it is over and you stand in the finishing room, dirty, beyond weary, emotional and drained. All that fades away as the Commanding Officer in charge of RTC Great Lakes comes in to personally congratulate you, presenting you and your division with your new status as a United States Sailor -- your Navy ball cap. (i cried when i read that)

8.Week Eight - Graduation/Pass and Review. Aside from everything mentioned above, part of your training has been in drill and ceremony. That portion of your training will come in to play here, where you march proudly, shoulders squared and with a bolstered confidence before friends, family, and thousands of supportive individuals from all walks of life. There is nothing like it in the whole world.

I thought we were orange? I'm confused (again). i opted to not do teh scarf, i was planning to wear black and didn't to be confused w/ Halloween :) I did make a ribbon to wear w/ my SR's name, div # on it - i think there was a lady making those as ordered under the pir group; I just did my own. can you believe we are this close? i just read we might get "Sailor" calls as early as next Friday!

Cute scarf! I cant wait to see the finished product. I just bought a plain mustard scarf. I dont plan on putting any embellishments on there haha

Hello Ladies, I'm glad I finally found the division my son is in! I'm getting excited. Where are you guys staying? Perhaps we can meet & greet before PIR/Graduation day. I get letters but I think I keep missing his calls. So 2 more schedule calls left? I'm trying to catch up with you all.

yes, phone call here too. sounded so good. he said they were ready fro battle stations starting the 3rd...next phone call ladies and we all have Sailors on our hands.

A phone call!!! I didn't get to hear him as he called my husband's cell but hubby said he sounds great and that time is flying by for him. He does have the countdown going like we do. He also said they are all working well together! Sounds like Battle Stations is that first week in Feb???

Yeah my husband sounds more "happy" & he said boot camp is "easy" now & I asked how hell week was for him and he said it was nothing! Other than that, he got another shot on his butt. Haha!

I got a phone call too! Sounds like their division is doing well and they are looking forward to Battle stations.
