He left yesterday afternoon. He is my best friend and has been for a fourth of my life. I am taking it pretty well so far but I think it is because I have heard from him over the past day. He is now officially at boot camp. I am little confused about how everything works. He is doing AVFS. All I know is that he will be in Pensacola for A school after boot camp. I can't wait to get a letter for him! His mom said it will be about 3 weeks which is kind of disheartening but what can you do. I am very proud of him.

His box of things will arrive around friday and form letter with his address on it by next week. The earlest he'll be able to write is the second sunday. Which means by the third thursday you may hear something. My fiance haas 23 days left if bc. So if you need any advice feel free to ask

How has it been for you? I am sure you have your ups and downs. I am trying to focus my attention on school and exercising. I think that'll make the time go by faster. You are lucky you get your man for christmas! What did you do/are you doing to keep yourself occupied?

Honestly some days it feel like he hasn't left and should be coming home from work. Yeah there are some down days. But I have three times.as many good days. Staying busy helps the days go by. When I work alot the weeks flew by. I had this last weekend off it felt like forever. Just write him every day. They get depressed thr first month in. its really hard they get homesick, typically sick. So be encouraging, show your love. I write every day and since hes gotten my letters he had became so happy and sounds more like the boy I love then he did in his first few letters.

My boyfriend left the same day. Well he left november 5th for MEPS, and got to boot camp november 6th. Its only been two days with no communication and it feels like its been 100 days! :( Just like you, I cannot wait to get his address and start writing. I feel like that will make time go by soo much quicker.

I know! He is my best friend so it makes it really difficult. I am however attending a conference at the moment so I have not had much time to think about it. I miss him lots and whenever I hear a cute song or see couples I want to cry lol. I am pathetic. I keep telling myself that he is on a long trip and will be back soon. I do agree though...I can't wait to hear from him. As soon as I get his address I am mailing out my letters. I have already started writing them.

Lol at the cute songs and couples. I am the same way. I had a special text alert on my iphone when he would text me and some lady at the hair cutting place today ironically had the same one and her phone went off, thinking it was mine I picked it up casually about to text him back forgetting he is gone and doesnt have his phone! That def made me teary eyed and made my heart ache lol

Thats a good idea about starting to write letters now, idk why I never thought of that. I think im going to go do that right now!

Me and my fiance exchanged letters at meps when we finally departed and read then that night. Then at least once a day of would write to him. Once I got his form lett I sent them all off. He writes me a letter every night and sends them off sunday with mail call. I have 3weeks left. But I'm so down right now. Out feels like oct was a blur and november is dragging on :(

Oh my goodness!! I have my ringtone set to a heartbeat whenever my boyfriend calls so every time my phone rings I die a little. I always hope it is him but alas I know it is not. In regards to writing yeah, I figured I would tell him about my day everyday even though I do not have his address yet I figure I can send those letters when I do get the address. I think it will make him feel better due to all that he is going through. I mean it'll let him escape into my life for a little bit :) I have a voicemail from him and I always listen to it before going to bed because we had this silly little thing where we said good night to each other in a special way so that way I can still have it. Also he got me this really cute build-a-bear which made me cry because around it's neck he had attached a count down for when his contract is over. It was very sweet!

Hi ladies! I saw this post earlier today and it made me want to join! My boyfriend left in the morning on November 6th. I wonder if they will be together in the training. I guess we'll find out when we finally get the address. I'm so glad I found this site so I can know I'm not the only one feeling the way I do. I made a promise to be strong so my boyfriend wouldn't have to worry, but so far it's been hard. I tear up when I hear a certain song or even just think of something sweet he does. It makes me smile at the same time too lol He is my best friend and the days are different when I don't have his text, call, or handsome face to look forward to. We had so many amazing memories before he left and I've been replaying them in my head every day. I had him leave me a voicemail before he left so I could listen to it every night and he bought me a body pillow to spray his cologne on. I love it. I hope we can keep this forum going and help each other when the days feel like they are dragging on! :)

If you ever need advice or a person to talk to I'm always here, I am in week 5-6 of boot camp so I'm ready for it to be over with!

Thanks! It really would not be so bad if we could talk. I went from talking and seeing my best friend all the time to nothing. I know that is what is so hard about everything. I went to basic training for the Army so I know how tough it is going to be mentally. I'm trying to be strong but even just now after I picked up some pictures I printed out to send to him I started crying when I got to one of my favorite ones. EVERYTHING makes me think of him. I have kept myself relatively busy, but any down time means a chance for me to tear up. lol I laugh because I know he'd tell me I'm being silly and that he loves me. I can't wait for this part to be over so I can even just talk to my man again.

Lol I know what you mean. Me and my fiance lived together and a month after he left I lost the apartment because I couldn't renew the cause with out him here. But while we lives there the only night I spent away from him was for him to go to meps. Its been hard in me in nov cause I live with my mon now and its like every trace of him is gone. His clothes are boxed up, his bathroom stuff boxed up. I've been really down this last week. But I have 20 days and 8 hrs left.
